Volunteer training bank for museums
A range of free materials designed to enable museums to run their own in-house volunteer training programmes have been made available. The London Museums Hub Volunteer Management Project has been working to support museums across London with volunteer involvement. One of the needs that was identified by the Hub was the provision of basic training for volunteers working within museums. The project developed a programme of free training for volunteers and the training materials developed are now available to download from their ‘Training Bank’. Museums who are interested in running their own in-house training will find these resources of interest. See volunteer bank at: http://www.mlalondon.org.uk/renaissance/index.cfm?NavigationID=450
