Child’s play - A new online tool can help councils plan their children’s workforce
CWDC has been working with national and local partners, including local authorities, to develop the One Children’s Workforce Framework and self-assessment tool, which went live for testing on the internet on 13 October. The framework identifies what a reformed workforce would look like using the colours of the rainbow and places the five Every Child Matters outcomes at its centre. It also illustrates the benefits of reform from the perspective of a child, a team, a service and a children’s trust. The online tool helps children’s trusts and their partners assess where they are now on their journey towards workforce reform. It then helps them work out the next steps of their journey, and enables them to pull this analysis together into an action plan.
