  • The Centre for Process Innovation (CPI), a leader of innovation in the UK’s processing sector, has today announced a major expansion of its role in helping industry in North East England to become ‘greener’ with the launch of Renew.
The new organisation will build on the success of Renew Tees Valley and CPI’s own activities in fuel cells and low carbon energy, to realise the delivery of commercial projects employing proven low carbon and environmental technologies across the whole region. Renew is to be based with CPI at the Wilton Centre and will work closely with the New and Renewable Energy Centre (NaREC) with an office at their Blyth HQ. Dr Graham Hillier, director of low carbon energy at CPI, said, “Renew provides strategic support to organisations looking to maximise the economic opportunities and carbon reductions achievable from the application of low carbon energy and environmental technologies within projects and operations.”
